Your going through a breakup and have that overwhelming sickening feeling; its not quite loss, its not quite grief, its a feeling that nothing can seem to get rid of. Breakups are always going to be hard, no matter if you initiated it, or they did, but there are some steps you can take to regain your happiness without the cliché of time.
I have read countless inspiring blog posts about “Finding your passion” usually in the pursuit of deciding what to do with my life. Always being told to follow your passion, do what your good at, everyone is great at something…. But what if you really have no idea what your good at, you maybe haven’t tried enough things to know what your really enjoy, or maybe you even think you’re not good at anything…. well not enough for it to be a passion or a career anyway.
If not the most soul-destroying of all habits and nearly impossible to avoid due to the continual strain social media has on our lives. Comparing yourself to others is a one way street to unhappiness.
I have spent years comparing myself to others, whether that be on social media or out in the real world. I have yet to master the art of “non-comparison” but I have learnt a few things on my quest to do so that I hope might help some of you.
